Let's face it-your doctor can give you some great advice, but who has to do the work to make those healthy changes? You! The majority of people want to make lasting changes, but they just don't know how. We will take those small steps together to bring about great change over time. Yes, you can change your health!
Working as a CNA for the geriatric population while going to school for nursing, I grew dissatisfied with the medical field's inability to help prevent the poor health I saw amongst the residents. Following the latest research in nutrition, I was thrilled to discover how much power we had over our health with good nutrition and exercise. I finished a Masters in Health and Human Performance, adding a certification as a Functional Nutrition Counselor and began helping people take those small steps to lasting change and better health. On the side I continued my medical and teaching interests by obtaining licensing as an EMT and EMR instructor, acquiring certifications and experience in IV insertion and Phlebotomy, Mental Health-Youth First aid, Registered Behavior Technician, and work as a high school health education teacher. My greatest passion is being a mom of six and wife to my best friend. I enjoy meal prepping, hiking, playing sports with my kids, our dog Daisy, singing, theatre, dance, piano, choirs, PE, and more!
